About Kerman Rugs (Pre-Iranian Revolution)

Kerman rugs, particularly those crafted before the Iranian Revolution, are renowned for their exceptional quality and intricate designs. These rugs were woven in the city of Kerman, located in southeastern Iran, a region with a long-standing tradition of carpet weaving. Pre-revolution Kerman rugs are characterized by their high knot density, detailed patterns, and vibrant colors, often incorporating floral motifs, medallions, and intricate borders. The craftsmanship of these rugs is a reflection of the rich cultural heritage and the artisans' meticulous attention to detail. The use of high-quality wool and natural dyes contributes to their durability and lasting beauty, making them highly sought after by collectors and connoisseurs of Persian rugs worldwide.
