This 11'5 x 16'5 Persian Tabriz Mahi rug is a finely hand knotted example of classic Azerbaijani craftsmanship. Woven with exceptional precision, it features a dense allover Herati Mahi pattern anchored by a balanced central medallion. The large scale and refined detailing make it well suited for expansive living spaces, formal interiors, and grand rooms where structure and pattern matter.
Design and Motifs
The field is composed of the traditional Mahi fish design arranged in a tight diamond lattice, creating rhythm and depth across the surface. A scalloped medallion rises organically from the center, framed by repeating floral rosettes, botehs, and leaf forms. The symmetry and repetition reflect the disciplined design language for which Tabriz rugs are known.
Border and Framing
Multiple borders surround the field, led by a detailed main border filled with floral palmettes and vine scrolls. Guard borders add contrast and visual stability, drawing the eye inward while maintaining strong perimeter definition. The borders are carefully proportioned to the rug’s oversize format.
Colors and Their Placement
A deep navy blue ground dominates the field, accented by ivory, rust red, soft turquoise, olive green, camel, and warm brown tones. The colors are harmoniously distributed, with lighter highlights lifting the pattern and darker hues grounding the composition. Some photos may appear slightly warmer or more yellow due to lighting, while the true colors are more muted and balanced in person.
Materials and Craftsmanship
Hand knotted using high quality wool on a cotton foundation, this rug displays a fine 50 Raj weave associated with high grade Tabriz production. The knot density allows for crisp pattern definition, smooth pile texture, and long term structural integrity. The back clearly reveals tight, even knotting.
Shipping
We are pleased to offer free shipping and free returns in all 50 states within the USA, including Hawaii and Alaska. For our Canadian customers, we charge a flat fee of $50. All rugs are shipped the next business day after your order is placed.
Once your rug is shipped, we will email you the tracking number along with an estimated arrival time.
Please note that any country outside of the U.S. might charge you import taxes.

To facilitate a return, contact our Customer Service team via email at info@rugs.net with your order number to request a shipping label(s) for your item(s). Purchased from Rugs.net policy can be refunded within 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, we are unable to offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must be returned in like kind packaging.
Before we send out your item we take pictures for future references.

After returned item, management will inspect your item. We will send you an email notifying you that we have received your item. In addition, we will also inform you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, then your refund will surely be processed to your original payment method, within 2-5 business days. Returned Items most be in original or like-kind packaging.
Processing time: please give us up to five business days to process your return, and an additional 2-3 business to receive your money back. If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

We will issue a return shipping label, you just need to drop off the rug at UPS or FedEx. You also have the option to have the package picked up from your home.
