Oversized rugs begin where the standard size chart ends. This page gathers our extra large rugs, from 12x15 through 13x20, 14x24 and true palace dimensions, every one an authentic hand-knotted Persian or Oriental original, one-of-a-kind and photographed exactly as it will arrive. Rugs at this scale are rare because they are enormous undertakings: teams of weavers working side by side for years, millions of knots tied by hand, which is why most rug sellers stock few or none at all.

The grand formats belong to the great room-size traditions. The weavers of Khorasan built our Persian Mashad rugs for exactly these dimensions, warm burgundy fields that gather a great room, while the classical grand sizes are collected in our 12x18 palace size rugs. Double-height living rooms, formal dining rooms that seat twelve, ceremonial entries, boardrooms and galleries are where extra large area rugs earn their place: spaces that swallow standard sizes and demand a rug woven to their scale.
