Design and Motifs: This 6'6" x 10'2" Persian Sarough Rug is a magnificent representation of traditional Persian artistry, embodying a classic Sarough design that hails from the fertile weaving region of Sarough, Iran. The central medallion, a hallmark of Persian rug design, is intricately detailed with floral motifs in rich hues of navy blue and ivory. Surrounding the medallion, a field of vibrant floral patterns in shades of burnt orange, ivory, navy, and light blue creates a harmonious balance, reflecting the skilled craftsmanship passed down through generations. The corners and borders of the rug are adorned with intricate floral vines, creating a perfect frame that encapsulates the central design, enhancing the overall visual appeal.

Patterns: The rug features a central medallion pattern, a typical feature of Sarough rugs, surrounded by a dense array of floral motifs that cover the entire field. The pattern is symmetrical, with the medallion acting as a focal point, drawing the eye towards the center of the rug. The borders are decorated with a repeating floral and vine pattern, which not only complements the central design but also adds a layer of depth and complexity to the overall aesthetic.

Materials and Craftsmanship: Crafted from a cotton foundation and a luxurious kork wool pile, this rug boasts a shimmering quality that is a testament to the high-grade materials used in its creation. Kork wool, known for its softness and durability, ensures that the rug will maintain its beauty and resilience for years to come. The tight knotting and fine weave of the rug highlight the meticulous attention to detail and the skilled hands of the artisans who created it.

Colors: The rug's palette is dominated by a rich burnt orange background, which sets a warm and inviting tone. The medallion and surrounding floral motifs are highlighted in contrasting shades of navy blue, ivory, and light blue, creating a striking visual contrast. The dark navy border frames the entire composition, grounding the design and adding a sense of balance and harmony to the rug.

  • Burnt Orange: The primary color of the rug's field, providing a warm and inviting base that highlights the intricate designs.
  • Navy Blue: Used predominantly in the border and the central medallion, adding depth and contrast to the overall design.
  • Ivory: Featured in the floral motifs and the outlines, adding lightness and enhancing the intricacy of the patterns.
  • Light Blue: Accents the floral details, offering a subtle contrast that enriches the rug's visual complexity.

Heritage: This Persian Sarough Rug is more than just a floor covering; it is a piece of cultural heritage. Sarough rugs have been highly regarded for centuries, known for their durability, intricate designs, and the quality of the materials used. This rug is a continuation of that legacy, offering a timeless beauty that will enhance any space with its rich history and artistic excellence.

Usage: Perfect for adding a touch of elegance to living rooms, dining areas, or bedrooms, this rug serves as both a functional and decorative piece. Its durable construction makes it suitable for high-traffic areas, while its intricate design ensures it will be a focal point in any room.
