Geometric Rugs
Geometric Rugs
Geometric design in Persian weaving is older than paper. The tribal and village weavers who invented these patterns worked without drawings, carrying diamonds, stars, hooks and stepped medallions in memory and passing them down hand to hand, and straight lines are what memory weaves best. The result is pattern with a pulse: symmetries that are almost perfect, angles with a human hand in them, the quality designers call warmth and machines cannot fake. Every geometric rug on this page is hand-knotted, one-of-a-kind, and photographed exactly as it will arrive.
Today those centuries-old patterns read as strikingly current, which is why geometric rugs move between decor styles so easily. The deep tribal end lives in pieces like our rare Gholtogh rugs with their bold hooked medallions, the stepped geometry of our Ardebil rugs, and the village variety of Persian Hamedan rugs. The contemporary end continues in our modern and contemporary rugs, where the same hand-knotting draws today's cleaner lines. Mid-century furniture, Scandinavian rooms and bold eclectic spaces all pull from this page for the same reason: geometry organizes a room the moment it hits the floor.
If you are matching a pattern to furniture already in the room, a photo to our chat settles it fast, any hour of the day. Free shipping and free returns, all 50 states and Canada. Straight lines, honest hands, no two alike anywhere.
