Baby rugs like this Persian Ardebil were originally woven as workshop samples: small demonstration pieces that showed merchants and customers exactly how a full size rug's design, colors, and weave quality would look before commissioning the real thing. As authentic hand knotted Persian rugs have grown rarer, these little samples have become sought after rarities in their own right. This one measures just 1'3" x 2', is knotted at a fine 250 knots per square inch with wool and silk pile on a cotton foundation, and has never been used.
Design and Motifs
A stepped geometric medallion in navy, red, and light blue anchors the ivory center, complete with serrated leaves, rosettes, and angular blossom clusters drawn in true northwest Persian style. Red stepped spandrels with small botanical motifs fill the corners, and the ivory main border carries a running vine of tiny flowers between navy guard bands. Silk highlights brighten the finest details, exactly as they would on the room size version this sample was made to represent.
Colors and Placement
Brick red, ivory, navy, light blue, teal green, and olive with tiny pink accents give this little rug outsize personality. Collectors frame baby rugs as wall art or display them on tables and benches, while practical placements include a bedside, doorway, or powder room. To facilitate a return, contact our Customer Service team via email at info@rugs.net with your order number to request a shipping label(s) for your item(s). Purchased from Rugs.net policy can be refunded within 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, we are unable to offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must be returned in like kind packaging.
Before we send out your item we take pictures for future references.

After returned item, management will inspect your item. We will send you an email notifying you that we have received your item. Processing time: please give us up to five business days to process your return, and an additional 2-3 business to receive your money back. If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
