This is a brand new palace size oriental Agra rug, hand-knotted in India in the classic Agra and Mahal tradition. A soft ivory field is covered edge to edge with an allover floral design, with no central medallion, built from a lattice of vines, palmettes, and serrated leaves and anchored at the corners by large dark cartouches. A wide camel gold border of bold rosettes and palmettes frames the field on all sides. At nearly 12 by 19 feet this is a true palace and ballroom scale piece, and its light, open palette keeps a rug this large feeling calm and elegant rather than heavy.
Design and Motifs
The ivory field carries a balanced allover pattern of large palmettes, fan-shaped blossoms, serrated leaves, and slender connecting vines, with deep navy and brown cartouches set into each corner to ground the composition. There is no central medallion, so the eye travels evenly across the whole field, which suits the rug's generous proportions. The wide camel border is filled with a stately procession of rosettes and palmettes between ivory floral guard stripes, giving the piece a formal, finished frame on every side.
Colors and Placement
The palette is soft and warm, led by ivory and camel gold with navy, green, rust, rose, and tan picked out through the florals. This restrained, decorator-friendly coloring makes it an easy rug to build a room around at scale, suited to large living rooms, great rooms, open-plan spaces, formal dining rooms, and grand entryways where a brighter rug would overwhelm. Origin and Construction
This rug was hand-knotted in India in the Agra tradition, using durable wool pile on a cotton foundation at roughly 140 to 160 knots per square inch, with a comfortable 3/8 inch pile height. The weave is even and substantial, built to carry its allover pattern crisply across a palace-size span and to wear well for decades under heavy use. It is brand new and has never been used. To facilitate a return, contact our Customer Service team via email at info@rugs.net with your order number to request a shipping label(s) for your item(s). Purchased from Rugs.net policy can be refunded within 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, we are unable to offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must be returned in like kind packaging.
Before we send out your item we take pictures for future references.

After returned item, management will inspect your item. We will send you an email notifying you that we have received your item.
