Around it, a red inner frame of dense floral tracery gives way to something extraordinary: a landscape band with snow-capped mountains, rivers, cottages, and trees, patrolled by knotted giraffes, lions, and camels. Grand flower-filled vases anchor the border axes, and the ivory outer band scatters animals and blossoms to the very edge.

The palette is where the Tabatabai signature shows: turquoise and teal of unusual saturation, reds that glow rather than darken, rose pink, marigold orange, and spring green, all shifting in luster as light crosses the pure silk pile.
