This room size hand-hooked Oriental rug brings the warmth of a vintage quilt to the floor. The entire field is organized as a patchwork of tiles in cream and butter yellow, framed by a chocolate brown lattice that runs the full length and width of the rug and closes in a solid brown border. At nearly 9 x 12 feet it anchors a large living room, dining room, or family room while keeping a soft, handcrafted character that machine made rugs cannot match.

Design and Motifs

The composition alternates 2 kinds of tiles in a steady rhythm. Larger squares carry folk style botanicals: star form blossoms with navy centers, layered rosettes in rose and pink, serrated oak leaves, and paisley shaped buds, each drawn with the slightly irregular charm of hand guided loops. Between them sit clusters of smaller squares filled with hash mark dashes in navy, blue, and pastel tones, reading like a basket weave or tally pattern. The result feels like a sampler quilt translated into wool, ordered from a distance and full of small surprises up close.

Colors and Placement

The palette is gentle and earthy. Cream and butter yellow grounds carry accents of salmon, terracotta, rose pink, dusty blue, sage and olive green, with deep navy adding definition to the blossoms and dashes. The chocolate brown lattice ties everything together and hides everyday traffic well. These muted tones suit farmhouse, cottage, country, and traditional interiors, and the low looped pile sits easily under a dining table or in a busy family room.

The rug was hand-hooked in India with a 100% wool pile pulled loop by loop through a cotton foundation, producing a dense, springy surface with a loop count of 50 to 60 per square inch. We are pleased to offer free shipping and free returns in all 50 states within the USA, including Hawaii and Alaska. For our Canadian customers, we charge a flat fee of $50. All rugs are shipped the next business day after your order is placed.

Once your rug is shipped, we will email you the tracking number along with an estimated arrival time.

Please note that any country outside of the U.S. might charge you import taxes.

To facilitate a return, contact our Customer Service team via email at info@rugs.net with your order number to request a shipping label(s) for your item(s). Purchased from Rugs.net policy can be refunded within 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, we are unable to offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must be returned in like kind packaging.

Before we send out your item we take pictures for future references.

After returned item, management will inspect your item. We will send you an email notifying you that we have received your item. Returned Items most be in original or like-kind packaging.

Processing time: please give us up to five business days to process your return, and an additional 2-3 business to receive your money back.
