Design and Motifs
A kaleidoscopic star medallion in navy, slate blue, gold, and rose anchors an ivory field strewn with flowering vines. Around it, bold red spandrels edged in scrolling cloudbands sweep toward the corners, each one filled with its own dense floral tracery and punctuated by round ivory cartouches. The celadon green main border carries large rosettes and arabesque leaves between blush-toned guard stripes, a classic Tabriz frame executed with unusual delicacy for a rug of this size.
