9'8" x 13'4" Persian Tabriz 70 Raj Rug | Signed | Wool and Silk on Silk Foundation | 660-680 KPSI

This super fine Persian Tabriz rug is woven at the 70 Raj grade, roughly 660 to 680 knots per square inch, a level of fineness reserved for the very best Tabriz workshops. The pile is wool and silk on a pure silk foundation, and the piece carries a woven master weaver signature cartouche in the end kilim. It has never been used and reaches you in excellent condition.

Design and Motifs

A layered round medallion in salmon pink, teal blue, and ivory sits at the center of a cream field alive with swirling vinery: spiraling tendrils, delicate blossoms, and curved silk highlighted leaves that catch the light as you move around the rug. Pendant motifs extend above and below the medallion, and the corner spandrels echo its palette. The border alternates salmon cartouches and deep teal panels filled with florals between narrow rose guard bands.

Colors and Placement

The palette is soft and sophisticated: ivory and cream grounds with salmon pink, teal blue, green, and light blue drawing. These gentle tones make the rug remarkably versatile for a formal living room, dining room, or master bedroom, and the 10x13 size anchors a large room with ease.

Origin and Construction

Signed 70 Raj pieces on a silk foundation represent the top tier of Tabriz weaving, and examples in this size are genuinely rare. Every knot is tied by hand in wool and silk, producing a dense, luminous pile that will outlast generations.
