This vintage hand-hooked Oriental rug brings a soft, garden-fresh European look to a generous 8 x 11 foot size. A bouquet of mixed flowers sits at the center of a creamy ivory field, encircled by a graceful laurel wreath and crowned with delicate scrollwork, while a warm taupe border carries floral sprays into every corner. The plush, looped wool pile gives the whole piece a thick, cushioned feel underfoot.
Design and Motifs
The composition follows the classic Aubusson garden tradition. At the heart of the rug, a full bouquet of roses, daisies, and little star flowers gathers inside an oval wreath of feathery laurel leaves, topped and tailed by elegant brown and gold acanthus scroll cartouches. The taupe border is scattered with matching floral bunches at the corners and along each side, tied together by curling brown leaf scrolls. Every flower is drawn in a loose, naturalistic way that feels hand-painted rather than rigid, giving the rug a relaxed, romantic character.
Colors and Placement
A calm cream field and soft taupe border keep the palette light and easy to live with, while the florals add gentle pops of orange, burgundy, soft blue, olive green, and gold. The pale ground brightens a room and makes the central bouquet the clear focal point, and the neutral border lets the rug settle comfortably into many color schemes. Origin and Construction
This rug was hand-hooked in India, a craft in which loops of wool yarn are pulled by hand through a sturdy base cloth to build a thick, plush surface. The pile is 100% wool on a cotton foundation, finished on the reverse with a bound cloth tape edge, as shown in the photos. As a vintage piece it carries light, age-appropriate wear consistent with its years, and it remains in good, displayable condition. We are pleased to offer free shipping and free returns in all 50 states within the USA, including Hawaii and Alaska. For our Canadian customers, we charge a flat fee of $50. All rugs are shipped the next business day after your order is placed.
Once your rug is shipped, we will email you the tracking number along with an estimated arrival time.

To facilitate a return, contact our Customer Service team via email at info@rugs.net with your order number to request a shipping label(s) for your item(s). Purchased from Rugs.net policy can be refunded within 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, we are unable to offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must be returned in like kind packaging.
Before we send out your item we take pictures for future references.

After returned item, management will inspect your item. We will send you an email notifying you that we have received your item. In addition, we will also inform you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, then your refund will surely be processed to your original payment method, within 2-5 business days. Returned Items most be in original or like-kind packaging.
Processing time: please give us up to five business days to process your return, and an additional 2-3 business to receive your money back. If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
