This large oval hand-hooked rug carries the soft, time-worn beauty that only decades of use can give. A central bouquet of roses and garden flowers rests on a gentle tan field, ringed by a slim brown oval frame and finished with a twisted rope-style outer edge. Smaller floral sprays repeat around the field and into the surrounding border of scrolled foliage. We are listing it honestly as-is: there is heavy wear throughout, with low pile and several areas where the cotton foundation shows through, all documented in the photos. Because of that it is deeply discounted for a buyer who values genuine patina and character.
Please note: this is a heavily worn antique sold strictly as-is. The pile is thin across much of the field and the foundation is exposed in multiple spots (clearly shown in the close-up and reverse photos). It is priced accordingly. Design and Motifs
The design follows a European Aubusson tradition, built around a central rose bouquet with buds, leaves, and small accent blooms in blue and gold. Four matching floral clusters sit at the inner oval, and a band of green acanthus scrollwork curls through the wide border. A twisted rope motif outlines the very edge. The flowers are drawn in a loose, painterly way rather than a rigid repeat, which gives the piece its relaxed cottage and country character.

Decades of light and use have settled the palette into muted tan, ivory, sage green, dusty rose, mauve, and warm brown. To facilitate a return, contact our Customer Service team via email at info@rugs.net with your order number to request a shipping label(s) for your item(s). Purchased from Rugs.net policy can be refunded within 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, we are unable to offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must be returned in like kind packaging.
Before we send out your item we take pictures for future references.

After returned item, management will inspect your item. We will send you an email notifying you that we have received your item.
